My take on it.

If only life were so simple,
a heartbeat, a smile, moving on.
If only we weren't built so complex,
sometimes right but mostly just wrong.

If only one day we could wake up
and know we're ok once and for all,
If only we didn't fear so much,
then maybe we'd stop feeling small.

If only people could know each other
and nourish and believe and care
If only there weren't such surprises,
little atom bombs hiding in there.

I'd walk in my days a little lighter
I'd hold my head up a little higher
I'd find the future a little brighter
I'd aim for faith like a child.
